Arthur Hayes opposes a strategic Bitcoin reserve

According to Hayes, the main problem with a strategic reserve is that it can be sold as easily as it can be bought. That's why in his latest blog post Hayes spoke out against one of the most popular wishes regarding cryptocurrency

"The main problem when the government accumulates any asset is that they buy and sell the asset primarily for political rather than financial gain," he said. "Does Bitcoin in itself do anything for the US government, given the current structure of the global economic system? No"
