Buterin says politician-issued coins are the "perfect bribery vehicle"

"If a politician issues a coin, you don't even need to send them coins to give them money," Buterin explained in a tweet. "Instead, you just buy and hold the coin, and this passively increases the value of their assets"

He added that one of the reasons these "political coins" are potentially superior tools for bribery is the possibility of "deniability"

His comments came after US Senator Elizabeth Warren called for an investigation into the $TRUMP and $MELANIA meme coins, expressing concerns about national security and conflicts of interest
