How will the Pectra upgrade affect the Ethereum user experience?

Upgraded wallets will be able to support mechanisms for reducing fees on the mainnet and Layer 2 (L2) networks such as Arbitrum, Optimism, zkSync, and Starknet

The inclusion of an Account Abstraction feature is also planned. It is designed to enable payment of transaction fees in tokens other than $ETH, such as $USDT, $DAI, or $USDC

According to Tim Beiko from the Ethereum Foundation, the Pectra release is tentatively scheduled for April 30 and will be confirmed at the All Core Devs Execution meeting next week
