Crypto hacks doubled in H1 and exceeded $1.38B

A new TRM report states that from January to June 24 of this year, cybercriminals stole crypto assets worth $1.38 billion through hacks and network attacks

For comparison, during the same period last year, attackers stole $657 million worth of cryptocurrency

According to TRM, the top five hacks and exploits account for 70% of crypto asset theft — the largest victim is DMM Bitcoin. In May, the Tokyo-based exchange lost 4,500 bitcoins worth more than $300 million
