World Liberty Financial launches AI payments: agents will be able to spend USD1

World Liberty Financial has introduced the AgentPay SDK — an open-source toolkit that allows AI agents to independently hold, send, and receive money in the USD1 stablecoin on EVM networks. USD1 already has a circulation of about $4.4 billion, and the project positions it as the base settlement layer for the "agent economy," where machines can conduct transactions without human involvement

The architecture includes local key storage, a policy engine, and operation limits, which allow control over AI actions (for example, transaction limits and manual confirmation when they are exceeded). The SDK integrates with tools such as Claude Code and Codex, and even supports real purchases (for example, gift cards via Bitrefill)
