Ethereum protocol recovers $7.6M after meeting hacker's demands

DeFi protocol Rho Markets has reported that the $7.6 million in stolen user funds is being returned to the platform

Earlier that same day, a certain entity posted a message on the blockchain, demanding that Rho Markets develop a plan to address the software issues that allowed hackers to steal the huge amount of cryptocurrency

"We understand that the funds belong to users and are ready to return them in full," the hackers wrote. "But first we would like you to acknowledge that this was not an exploit or hack, but a misconfiguration on your part"
